At Emily's Lollies, we're thrilled to be part of so many couples wedding journey offering a selection of bespoke lollipops in different styles, colours, shapes and flavours. We recognise that choosing the perfect lollipop design and colour is a significant decision, and we're here every step of the way to assist with any questions or guidance you may need.
In this blog post, we'll explore how to match your wedding lollipops with various elements, from table settings to the wedding cake, ensuring all your wedding details perfectly match and add a personalised touch to your celebration. So, here's our top tips on How To Match Your Lollipops To Your Wedding Design.
Set The Tone With Colours
Your chosen colour palette sets the mood and tone for the entire wedding, making it an excellent starting point for your personalised wedding favours. One of the first steps in creating wedding lollipops that complement your wedding style is to choose the perfect colours! Consider your wedding theme and colour palette when selecting the hues for your lollipops. Whether it's a classic white wedding, a rustic affair with lots of greenery, or a vibrant and eclectic celebration, matching the lollipop colours to your chosen scheme will create a cohesive look.
One other tip is to consider the primary colours as well as any accent shades you've incorporated into your decor, florals and details. Think about your chosen metallic, if you have opted for silver cutlery we would highly recommend silver glitter instead of our gold or rose gold.
Lollipop Design
Once you’ve identified your colour palette we would recommend reviewing the style of lollipop that will best suit your wedding style. We have lots of different designs available, from Classic Lollipops, and Rose Petal Lollipops to Whimsical Wildflower Lollipops.
For those envisioning a timeless and romantic ambience, our Classic Lollipops stand as a symbol of sophistication and simplicity. Whereas our Rose Petal Lollipops add a touch of floral elegance, making them perfect for couples seeking a romantic and garden-inspired wedding setting. Or if you’re planning a rustic or nature-inspired wedding, our Whimsical Wildflower Lollipops are designed just for you - these lollipops bring a touch of the outdoors to your celebration, creating an ideal match for a rustic-themed wedding.
Whether you opt for elegant pastels, bold tones, or classic neutrals, the goal is to have your lollipops enhance the visual appeal of your wedding.
Consider Your Wedding Venue
When picking your wedding favours, consider all elements of your wedding venue. If your venue has distinct colours or specific themes, maybe consider incorporating these into your lollipops. From elegant ballrooms to rustic countryside settings, consider how your lollipops can harmonise with the ambience of the venue. Your venue sets the stage for your celebration and can greatly influence the overall aesthetic of your wedding favours.
Coordinate Your Table Settings
Your tablescape plays a crucial role in establishing the overall aesthetic of your wedding. To ensure your lollipops seamlessly integrate into the setting, pay attention to details such as tablecloths, napkins, and centrepieces.
The Wedding Cake
The wedding cake is often a focal point of the wedding reception, and coordinating your lollipops with this sweet masterpiece can enhance the visual impact. Match the colours and design elements of the cake with your lollipops. Other couples like to create lollipops in flavours that complement the cake, offering a delightful pairing for your guests.
Personalisation For A Unique Touch
Make your wedding lollipops truly special by incorporating personalisation. Consider adding initials, wedding dates, or even your guest's name for that personalised touch! This touch not only adds sentimental value but also makes for a memorable and unique wedding favour.
Your attention to these details will not only sweeten the celebration but also leave a lasting impression on your guests. We hope this guide has helped you match your wedding lollipops to your wedding design! If you have any questions or need any help selecting your perfect lollipops, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help!

Talking of excitement, I can’t wait to share this month’s blog post sharing Emily’s Lollies wedding predictions for 2024! Couples are seeking more unique and personalised experiences for their special day. From alternate wedding venues to incredible dining experiences and delicious treats for guests, let's explore the top wedding trends and predictions for couples tying the knot in 2024.
Colour Palettes
The UK wedding industry is expecting to see more daring colours for 2024 weddings! We’re talking vibrant, deep, bold tones, maybe even disco-inspired themes. Whilst the timeless allure of pretty pastels and neutrals will always remain a favourite choice, add in a deeper, bolder colour to make your wedding design stand out!
Wedding Venues
Couples are seeking more unique and unconventional wedding venues. While traditional churches, beautiful stately homes and marquees remain classic choices, couples are increasingly drawn to non-traditional venues such as botanical gardens, historic libraries, and even art galleries.
Personalisation
Couples want to make their guests an integral part of the celebration and include them as much as possible. Couples are opting for personalised wedding favours that go beyond the ordinary, by incorporating each guest's name into the gift. All of our Wedding Favour Lollipops can be personalised with your guest name, and double up as a name card too. Each guest can feel loved, included in the wedding celebrations and of course enjoy a delicious treat too.
Dining Experiences
When it comes to the wedding breakfast, 2024 is all about embracing diverse culinary experiences. Food stations are gaining popularity and delicious dessert stations are. Food stations allow guests to ‘pick and choose’ their meals and savour the variety of different flavours. Grazing tables is a new and modern wedding trend instead of your standard buffet. We love the idea of adding a mixture of sweet and savoury dishes.
Entertainment
More and more couples are seeking interactive experiences. Couples are opting for live entertainment that gets guests involved. Couples are also exploring themed weddings that reflect their personalities and interests, creating a memorable experience for all guests. Many of our couples opt for a His & Her flavoured lollipop, Strawberry or Prosecco for the ladies and Lemon or Gin for the gents.
Sustainability
Couples are becoming increasingly mindful of the environmental impact within the events and wedding industry. Therefore, we’re starting to see a real shift in couples opting for eco-friendly choices throughout the wedding planning process. Many couples choose locally sourced, organic ingredients to reduce their carbon footprint as well as choosing eco-friendly and energy-efficient wedding venues.
Wedding Favours
One trend that is becoming more and more popular each year is the choice of edible wedding favours. And, guess what? You’re in just the right place to browse our Wedding Lollipops. Add a unique and delicious touch to your special day with our personalised and edible wedding favours.
As we come to the end of our Wedding predictions for 2024, one thing is clear – couples are embracing creativity, individuality, and sustainability. We can’t wait to work with all of you lovely couples soon and wish you all the best during your wedding plans.

Corporate events are a fantastic opportunity to showcase your brand's uniqueness and our delicious lollipops really are a memorable marketing tactic! We recently worked with a company who ordered branded lollipops for an exhibition. Bespoke lollipops were given away to visitors, a fantastic opportunity to get visitors to remember the brand. The feedback was incredible from our client, who even stated it helped them stand out against the competition. Lollipops are a unique form of promotional gift.
Corporate Lollipops can also be ordered for a treat for staff, to celebrate a company anniversary, or even gifted to clients. What better way to express your gratitude to staff or at team-building events.
Logo Design
Here at Emily’s Lollies we have two different options to print your company logo. Our standard print or printed icing options.
Logos can be printed on any style of lollipop. This is simply printed on top of the lollipop and this works best when the black or a dark colour so that there is a big contrast between the logo and the lollipop. We cannot print in white due to the light colour tones.
The other option is to use printed icing. This means you logo is printed on a white sheet of icing, which is then delicately placed on top of the lollipop. This option is easy to get a high contrast and we can print almost any image. This works particularly well for printing QR codes – a great way to provide further information for clients at exhibitions or trade shows.
Top Tips For Ordering
To ensure you receive your custom lollipops in time for your event, please note that all orders should be placed at least four weeks in advance. This lead time allows us to create the perfect lollipops, incorporating your branding elements with precision. For any large orders, we will create a mock-up of the logo design too. Create customised gift boxes or bags that reflect your wedding theme or colors. I wish I was on holiday right now, but instead, I’m prepping for a very busy wedding season ahead. I’m so excited to share this month’s blog post that it’s making me dream of a luxurious holiday. If you’re planning a destination wedding, still browsing for the perfect wedding favour or simply here for wedding inspiration then this blog post is well worth a read.
This is a first-of-a-kind blog post here at Emily’s Lollies as this month I’m sharing a real wedding. A beautiful, glamorous, modern, stylish and luxurious destination wedding. Lauren and Camillus held their destination wedding in Mexico with all their nearest family and friends. This wedding was impeccably designed with a chic monochrome colour palette creating an elegant and luxurious design. The whole wedding was designed with these colours in mind and black was the main colour accent. Did you know Emily's Lollies has over 20 different colourway options helping you find the perfect shade for your wedding favours?
Real Wedding
Everything about this wedding is simply stunning. From the 5* destination wedding venue, ceremony floral arch, creative seating plan, beautiful long tablescape, the gorgeous couple and not forgetting the pretty personalised lollipops creating the most delicious wedding favours.
The wedding guests dined under the stars at one of the most romantic wedding tablescapes we’ve ever seen! The table was positioned in front of a tranquil river with canopy lighting and endless amounts of candles, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere. Guests found their seats with a show-stopping seating plan with a calligraphy title stating ‘Our Favourite People’.
The Wedding Favours
Our lovely bride purchased our Rose Petal Lollipops in green with ivory rose petals, all tied with a black ribbon and tag with the couple’s Instagram hashtag. The luxury lollipops were personalised with gold glitter with the couple’s initials. Each lollipop wedding favour was placed on the guest's place setting with a charger plate, napkin, menu and name card. The tablescape looked beautiful! If we do say so ourselves we love how the lollipop creates that wow factor.
Travelling with Emily’s Lollies Wedding Favours
Our delicious lollipops have travelled all over the world to Mexico, France, Spain, Italy and even as far as Australia. Our lollipops are all handmade here in the UK to the highest quality. The lollipops can be transported to different countries, but we do recommend that you package the lollipops well! As soon as you have arrived at your destination we advise that the lollipops are stored in an air-conditioned room for as long as possible. If the lollipops are to be placed in the sunshine or heat, we recommend that the venue place these out at the very last minute, ensuring the lollipops are fresh for guests to enjoy.
Take a peek at our most popular wedding favour lollipops here and join us next month for more! Please get in touch if you have any questions about travelling with your lollipops or need any further help with your order.

It’s time to celebrate the mum-to-be and the precious baby on the way. From pretty décor, delicious food, fun and games, and of course some baby shower lollipops, there’s lots to consider.
Planning a baby shower is an exciting and wonderful occasion, but does come with a level of stress, don’t be afraid to ask for help or delegate tasks to others. So, here’s a selection of our top tips to help you plan a great baby shower.
Set A Date & Invite Others
Firstly, decide when and where to host the baby shower. Don’t leave it so late that you could risk the baby being here. At this stage of the planning, it’s always a good idea to set a budget, and work out who will financially be contributing to the baby shower.
Once the mum-to-be has finalised the guestlist it’s time to get those invitations out. There are so many options from baby shower invitations to a digital invitation. You can personalise baby girl shower invitations, baby boy shower invitations or create a neutral invite. Here’s some of our personal favourites.
Choose A Theme
It’s time to choose a baby shower theme. Themes such as gender reveal, baby animals or classic neutral colours always work well, especially if the baby’s gender is unknown. More unique baby shower themes will help make the event more memorable, so get creative when choosing the theme. We love the idea of adding pops of colour to a baby shower. The colours don’t always have to be pink or blue, so think outside of the box.
Fun Games
It wouldn’t be a baby shower without some fun games! Fun activities are perfect to keep guests entertained. The classic baby shower games include Baby Bingo, Guess The Date, Guess Who and All About Mum & Dad. Don’t forget to buy a few prizes too!
The Décor & Food
Now the theme has been chosen, it’s time to plan the decorations. Fun decorations like balloons, banners and tableware can help transform a space and are relatively well-priced too. Why not consider creating some homemade decorations to help with the budget?
Once all RSVPs have been received, you’ll be able to finalise guest numbers and the catering. Here in the U.K, buffet style food works very well and you can be really creative for a baby shower. Or, who doesn’t love an Afternoon Tea? Most baby showers will have a cake to celebrate the expected baby and many couples opt to share the gender reveal by cutting the cake. Why not, share your gender reveal with our personalised lollipops stating Boy or Girl.
Be Eco-Friendly
Consider purchasing eco-friendly items and party decorations that contain no or limited plastic. Be mindful when purchasing items, that other guests can re-use these. Bamboo is a great resource for catering equipment, such as compostable plates, and wood is always the preferred option to any plastic.
Here at Emily’s Lollies we have a range of Baby Shower Favours with pink and blue sprinkles, colourful Galaxy Lollipops, to our Classic Colour Lollipops, all can be personalised to create that extra special touch. Shop the full lollipop collection of edible baby shower favours here.
We hope these tips are helpful in planning a perfect baby shower. Good luck!

All the guests loved them, and so pleased with the fact that people actually wanted to eat them or take their lollipops with them rather than leaving everything on the table which seems to happen quite often for wedding favours!"
It's time to grab a cuppa and enjoy our 2022 Yearly Round Up Blog Post. Thank you for being here, and thank you again for supporting Emily's Lollies!

]]>Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons and what a romantic season to get married in! Today we’re sharing a gorgeous styled shoot that is simply stunning. Inspired by colourful florals, gold details, and soft textures, all perfect features for a romantic Autumn wedding.
So, if you are planning an Autumn wedding, looking for unique wedding favours, or are purely just here for the wedding inspiration, then we have something very beautiful to share with you.
This styled shoot was hosted at Standon Hall, in Staffordshire in the West Midlands. A historic Grade II wedding venue dating back to the Edwardian century that is set in beautiful grounds.
Charlize Mondahl of Liesies Bakery designed and organised this shoot as well as providing a jaw-dropping cake design that was all about the details. This intricate cake design had a layer of real flowers and soft floral details which perfectly matched the wedding style and colour palette.
The styling details come together so effortlessly using a soft yet bright colour palette of luscious greenery paired with peaches, oranges and deeper coral tones. The soft tones of the linen created different textures to the wedding tablescape, especially with the vibrant florals bursting with pops of colour. I adore how the natural wildflowers of the wedding stationery suite perfectly matches the edible wildflower lollipops.
The florals by Butter Cup And Daises had an organic whimsical feel, perfect for a romantic Autumn wedding. Paired with vibrant fruit which looks very inviting, peaches, grapes, shiny red apples and the warm colour of oranges.
And how can we not mention the unique, chic, and utterly beautiful bridal denim jacket? A seriously cool look that will certainly keep brides warm in the cooler months, oh, and make the most stylish photography opportunities.
The Wildflower Lollipops are made with a variety of edible flowers creating a natural, romantic and wild finish to your wedding style. You can shop the full range of edible lollipops here, with different styles and flowers available to suit weddings throughout all seasons.

Cee Cee Photography has created some stunning images, so prepare to be inspired for your autumn wedding!
The dresses for the shoot were supplied by Lisa Lyons Bridal and are traditional and elegant without being too "theme". The lace adds a classic touch to a modern wedding dress.
The styling and florals are by the incredibly talented Queen and Eden. Using a palette of blush and burgundy, they created a perfect autumn bridal bouquet.
Hair was styled by Kate Atalay Bespoke Hair and the make up was by Stephanie Alexandra Bridal.
Sixpenny Bride created the stunning handmade headpiece with delicate flowers, which looked perfect with our model's hairstyle.
Your wedding cake is one of the focal points of your wedding day, and this cake from Caz's Cakes and Sugarcraft is no exception. Bringing in the rich wine colours, the cake is decorated with amazingly lifelike sugar flowers which match those used in the decor and the bouquet.
The colours of the wedding stationery are perfect for an autumn wedding and were designed by PS Weddings. The menus and invitations have a classic yet modern feel to them.
Menswear is from The Cotswold Tailor. The tweed suit is a modern take on a traditional suit.
The models were Cathy and Will
Handmade luxury lollipops make a perfect thank you for your guests and can also double up as a place setting! For more wedding favours ideas, check out my range of handmade lollipops which come in a wide range of colours and flavours.

The venue was the barn at Littlefield Manor, which is a fabulous space and somewhere you can really put your own stamp on. Just look at those beams! The whole idea was put together by Lucy Wells Weddings. Our florist for the day Hayloft Floral created a stunning foliage cloud to act as a focal point over the wedding breakfast table. The simple greenery echoed that used on the table as a table runner and shows that you don't need to go all out with flowers to create showstopping table decor.
These photos from Laura Downham Photography capture the whole set up perfectly.
Brass accents bring in a touch of warmth and add a luxe feel, together with the turquoise candles. Gold edged charger plates also help bring in a touch of extra luxury. Also, how gorgeous is turquoise and gold as a colour combo?!
The lime washed chairs and table add to the lightness, and the chairs have a simple greenery posy as decoration. Less is definitely more sometimes! The chairs and table are available to hire from AB Event Hire.
The turquoise wedding stationery from Bluebell Press picked on the foliage accents used in the table decor and coordinated perfectly.
A simple but elegant white wedding cake from Cakes and Leaves was a perfect addition to the wedding set up.
You can use Emily's Lollies for your turquoise wedding favours! How about these delicious handmade lollipops with organic edible petals? My lollipops are available in compostable packaging and on paper sticks, meaning they're great for a sustainable eco-friendly wedding and can be personalised to act as place names too. The lollipops come in a wide range of colours and flavours, so you'll be sure to create wedding favours your guests will love.

This set up would also be ideal for a birthday party at home or a garden birthday party and I know many little girls would love this - who wouldn't?!
The concept behind the styled shoot was from The Beverley Sleepover Company who specialise in creating amazing experiences using their bell tents and this lace teepee, including luxury picnics, luxury sleepovers and more. A luxury sleepover would be a perfect way to celebrate a special birthday! If you have a big enough garden this would be a great way to celebrate at home.
These stunning photos giving you all the girls birthday party ideas are from The Rose Quartz Photography. Specialising in newborn, baby and maternity shoots, she was the perfect choice of birthday party photographer for this shoot.
The birthday cake was from Annie Elizabeth Cake Design and beats the Colin the Caterpillar (or whoever your caterpillar cake of choice is!) hands down! This stunning two tier cake is a perfect focal point and fits the brief perfectly.
Every birthday party needs balloons, and these balloons from Feather and Fall are a step beyond your usual! This unique balloon display creates a stunning and unique backdrop to the party and brings in a pop of colour.
The beautiful birthday party florals on the table and the stunning floral crown for the birthday girl were crafted by Floristic Couture in delicate shades of pink. Perfect for birthday girls of all ages!
Birthday party invitations are an essential of any birthday party, and these gorgeous floral watercolour invitations were by Oh Blythe Design. They were the perfect accompaniment, and set the scene for the theme of the birthday party.
To make a statement, how about a huge light up number? Perfect for making the most of a special birthday. This is available from Elizabeth James Events.
The bespoke signage and cake stand were from Luna Moon Events in Hull.
You need sweet treats at a birthday party, and I was on hand to provide some delicious heart shaped lollipops with edible flowers and a touch of sparkle. Luxury lollipops make a perfect party favour, and you can add them to the goody bag at the end of the party or have them as part of a dessert table, ready for your guests to enjoy. Now available in compostable packaging, these are also kinder to the environment as well as being something a bit different to give your guests. Check out the range of luxury handmade lollipops now.

The styled shoot took place at the stylish Lobby 1867 in Wakefield and was the idea of Lam Peretti, a Yorkshire wedding photographer specialising in capturing those special moments on your wedding day.
We had dresses from Bridal Reloved in Wakefield who sell new, sample and pre-owned designer wedding dresses. If you are looking to have a more eco-friendly wedding day, maybe a pre-owned wedding dress could be the answer (and you could bag yourself a bargain too!).
The veil our beautiful model wears is from Quinlan Couture Bridal who create custom wedding veils and made to measure designer accessories.
The stunning festive wedding bouquet and Christmas inspired table decorations were from Smitten With Flowers. Such rich colours work perfectly for a winter wedding and this bouquet proves you can have a truly stunning bouquet using British seasonal flowers.
The stationery was from Love Paper and fitted the winter wedding vibe perfectly.
Weddings in winter can often require boots, but check out these incredible boots from House of Eliot. Absolutely beautiful!

They're a sweet treat your guests will love and are available in a wide range of colours and flavours to suit your needs. What should a groom wear on his wedding day? Whatever he blooming well wants! Your wedding day should reflect who you are, not some fake version of you, so if morning suits and top hats aren't your thing, don't wear that. Here are some ideas for alternative groom attire, for those who want something a bit more unique.
If you love colour, why not team a subtle colour jacket with a stronger colour trousers? Perfect alternative to grey or navy. Mix and match groom style is perfect for a relaxed summer wedding, as seen here! Suits from @slatermenswear Photo by @foyetography_weddings.
If you don't fancy a suit at all, why not go for a more relaxed retro vibe? Here the groom is wearing jeans and a shirt - nothing too formal! As above, it's your wedding day so there are no rules on what you should wear. Photo by the amazing kirstymackenziephotography from a recent tipi wedding shoot. Get more tipi wedding inspiration here.
For yet more unique groom style ideas, what about teaming a dark shirt, dark waistcoat and dark jeans? This was from a styled shoot with a biker theme - I love how edgy it is! Photography by Becky Wright Wedding Photography.
For a more elegant but still relaxed look, why not try a soft grey suit? You don't need to have formal ties, cravats or bow ties, and a tailored suit always looks good. Photo by www.lamdperettiphoto.com
If you are planning a rustic wedding, textured fabrics can work really well and add personality to your outfit. Check out these wedding suits from Rebel Menswear - timeless and elegant but still with enough character. Photo by Alicia Eden Photography. See more of this shoot here.
For more of a classic, elegant vibe, check out this grooms outfit from The Cotswold Tailor. It's a classic suit combination given a modern twist with the fabric choice. The coloured waistcoat is a lovely touch, and in these strange pandemic times it's important to match your mask to your outfit! Suit from The Cotswold Tailor, photo by Cee Cee Photography.
I hope this post has given you some wedding suit inspiration and stylish groom outfit ideas. There are no rules, so find an outfit that suits your style. What do you think? Are you team classic or team alternative?

The venue chosen was the stunning Littlefield Manor, a perfect exclusive use wedding venue for an outside wedding ceremony. The beautiful gardens are split into several distinct areas, perfect for planning out your wedding day and having distinct areas for each part of your day. The main lawn is large enough for a tipi or marquee which can accommodate up to 200 people. With the option to camp nearby, Littlefield Manor offers you lots of flexibility and choice when it comes to making your wedding day uniquely yours.
For smaller, more intimate weddings there is also a newly converted barn where you can hold your celebrations. I'll pop another post up with some images of the barn.
Laura Downham was the photographer responsible for all these stunning inspirational images. If you need a wedding photographer in the Surrey area, Laura is your girl! Her images captured the vibrancy and the relaxed atmosphere of the day.
Lucy Wells Weddings and The Cosy Corner Company created a relaxed picnic style setting down by the lake under a tree. With perfect weather, this would be a wonderfully informal way to hold your wedding breakfast. Scatter cushions and blankets help to make it feel cosy and are perfect for keeping warm if the temperatures drop.
Stunning floral arrangements from Hayloft Floral featuring spring flowers of tulips, anemones and daffodils added a vibrant splash of colour. How gorgeous is the rainbow of flowers?
The stationery was provided by Bluebell Press and complemented the colourful theme perfectly.
Food platters from Didi and Dot are a great informal alternative to a sit down wedding breakfast (and looked absolutely delicious!).
The stunning wedding cake from Cakes and Leaves finished the whole set up off. The top tier looks as though the spring flowers are holding it up!
The luxury lollipops made perfect wedding favours and included organic edible flowers. The violas in the lollipops reflected the floral table display, and lollipops are always a popular treat!

If you are looking for outdoor wedding table decor ideas, how about something like this:
A runner of greenery is an elegantly simple touch and adds the perfect natural texture. Using pine cones as place name holders and luxury lollipops as wedding favours, this would be a perfect tablescape for a rustic woodland wedding.
Images from Lauren Beth Photography | Greenery from Little Flower Florist | Stationery from Caledonian Cow Girl | Brass Candlesticks from Betty Loves Vintage | Sheepskin Rugs from Beau and Bell Tents | Green Tapered Candles from Cloudberry Living | Napkins from The Embroidered Napkin Company | Lollipop Wedding Favours from me!
For some of the prettiest floral wedding tables, how about these? Using muted tones and florals makes for a beautiful, romantic wedding table setting. Low central floral displays mean your guests can still chat to each other without the barrier of a larger floral installation, yet there is enough interest to enhance the table.

The rich colours of this tablescape work perfectly in a country house. Think lots of florals, candles and beautiful charger plates too add a touch of elegance to your wedding tables.

For those of you planning an alternative wedding, how about going bold with dark colours and strong contrasts?
Using black candles, rustic furniture and tall floral displays to create drama, this tablescape has accents of gold to add a luxe touch. If you are wondering what to put on a wedding table, the reality is that there are no rules. Add as much as or as little as you like! Here coloured glassware and black plates are a perfect foil for the bright colours of the napkins and the personalised wedding favours.

This beautiful wedding tablescape uses simple white crockery and candles to create a beautiful backdrop for the autumnal tones of the flowers, whilst the brass candlesticks and geometric details add interest. Again, simple rustic furniture and white linen complete the look. This would be perfect for an autumnal wedding.

Decide what's important to you as a couple. Make a list of your wedding day priorities and set your wedding budget. Decide what items you need to have done by professionals and what you are happy to DIY. If having professional photographs or a stunning wedding cake are wedding day must haves, maybe you could lose some other things from the budget. Statement venue decor and flower walls look amazing but if you are wanting to save money on your wedding day it may be that you can do without it. You might decide you don't need a candy cart if you are having sweet wedding favours (I know a brilliant place to get luxury lollipop wedding favours from ;) ).

Get married on a weekday. Weekday weddings generally cost less than than weekend dates.
Get married outside peak season. By avoiding bank holidays or summer weekends, you'll save money on your wedding than can go towards something else in the budget. Spring or autumn weddings are still beautiful and you can take advantage of the seasonal changes for your photographs.
Consider an unusual wedding venue. Rather than a high end castle or hotel venue, why not have your wedding reception at a village hall or cricket club? These venues often charge less to hire and you'll be helping the local community. Maybe you know a farmer who will lend you a barn? Perhaps an events space such as a museum or art gallery appeals to you? Investigating unusual spaces for your wedding reception can save you money on your wedding.

Buy your dress at a sample sale. I know a friend who saved 50% on the price of her dream wedding dress just by buying a sample dress from a store. It was professionally cleaned, altered to fit her and she looked amazing.
Photo from Samantha Gades on Unsplash
Consider DIYing your invitations, or buying a premade, off the peg stationery suite rather than having one bespoke to you. Create a wedding website. This can save you money on invitations as you can direct your guests to your website, not have to print extra information in the invitations. Check out wix.com, wordpress.com or withjoy.com to create a free wedding website.
DIY your venue decor. If you have access to the venue the day before your wedding, grab your friends and family and get them to help you decorate the venue. If you are wondering how to style your wedding tables, why not check out this free wedding table planning checklist?
Image by Ben Rosett on Unsplash
If you enjoy baking, why not consider making your own cake? If baking your own cake the night before your wedding doesn't appeal however, maybe ask a friend or relative who enjoys baking to help out? You could have a Great British Bake Off style cake display and ask guests to bring bakes and treats.
Choose your wedding flowers wisely. Have smaller bouquets with less statement blooms and more greenery, choose seasonal flowers, choose flowers grown by local growers or even dried flowers. For wedding venue decor, maybe head to one of the local supermarkets and stock up on flowers and make your own displays. Use houseplants instead of flowers, which you can give away to guests as favours or just keep at home if you're green-fingered.

If you are thinking of having your dog at your wedding, you need to first check with the venue. Some venues are dog friendly and others aren't, so it's best to check before you start planning how to have your dog at your wedding! If your venue are happy to have your furry friend there for the day, make sure you take your dog for a look round beforehand, so they can get used to the sights and smells there. Put together a plan for your dog, including somewhere quiet for them to rest if it all gets a bit much for them. Be sure to leave a bowl of water and some treats in an easily accessible place for your dog. You might want to put a plan in place for if they start barking or becoming unsettled during the ceremony - make sure someone can take them out if they need to escape! This leads me nicely onto the next point...
Image from Canva
Consider a dogsitter for the day to free you up to enjoy yourself. Dogsitters often provide a range of services, and can either look after your dog for the day and bring them to your drinks reception, or be there during your wedding day to look after your pet for you. Having someone there to make sure your dog feels safe and secure will be a weight off your mind, and you'll know that your dog is being well taken care of.
Will your dog be the ring bearer? Will they be an extra groomsman or bridesmaid? Will they walk you down the aisle? Knowing your dog and its temperament will give you an idea as to the role your dog can play in your wedding.
Image from Canva
Whilst a dog in a bow tie is all kinds of adorable, it's important to think of safety over style. Make sure any items that your dog is to wear are well fitting and won't cause discomfort, and if you opt for a flower crown or flowers on a collar, be sure to use flowers that are safe for your dog to be near. Some popular wedding florals (such as eucalyptus) are actually toxic to dogs if consumed, so it's something to bear in mind.
Be sure to inform your guests that your dog will be at your wedding, both on the Save The Date cards and the actual invitations. This gives your guests plenty of advance warning - not everyone likes dogs, and some people are allergic to dogs.
Above all else, it's important to consider the welfare of your dog. Being in an unfamiliar place with 100+ people could be very overwhelming for a dog, and it may be a better idea to just have set times for photos with your pet and for them to be left with a dogsitter at home or elsewhere.
If you don't have a dog, there are ways to include your other pets in your wedding! If you have a cat or rabbit, why not include them in your getting ready photos? If you have a horse, maybe someone could bring them to the wedding reception venue (if allowed), or ask your photographer to take some photos of you together? There are ways to incorporate your four legged friends into your special day that don't have to overwhelm them.
Hopefully this post has given you some ideas for dogs at weddings! Are you planning to have your pet at your wedding? Let me know in the comments!

I was excited to be involved in a styled shoot at Horstedpond Farm organised by Beneath The Canopy, who supply the most incredible bell tents for weddings and events. The theme of the shoot was a festival style wedding, complete with an incredible naked tipi from Love Tipi! The photos by Kirsty Mackenzie Photography are amazing, and will definitely give you all the tipi wedding inspiration you could hope for!
The wedding ceremony was set in the woodland and featured an incredible tassel backdrop from To Have and To Hire Weddings. How amazing would it be to say your vows in front of that, surrounded by woodland?! The mirror balls in the tree add a quirky touch and are something a bit different to the usual festoon lights. Bunting from Boho Temple added a touch of colour to the trees and the styling pieces from To Have and To Hire add the finishing touches. A celebrant-led wedding allows you to say your vows in magical places like this - speak to Kate and Kate Celebrants for more details.
Having one main tipi (in this case the naked tipi) and bell tents surrounding it means you can create a mini festival for your wedding, with you and your guests camping out to celebrate your big day - make a long weekend of it! The bell tents are so much more luxurious than your average camping tent, with sumptuous furnishings inside. The main tent could be where you have your wedding breakfast, with grazing boards from Grazing Social and beautiful floral decoration from Fern Cottage Floristry.
Food trucks are a common sight at festivals, and a wedding festival should be no different. The Tin Roof Kitchen provides amazing artisan pizzas and the The Gin Emporium is a mobile gin bar - no event is complete without a mobile gin bar!
Our bride for the day wore a number of different outfits (again, one of the perks of having a festival wedding!). The beautiful wedding dress was by The Pantiles Bride.
If you are having a non traditional wedding, you should definitely consider non traditional wedding favours! Luxury handmade lollies make a great wedding favour, and we can make them in a wide range of colours and flavours (gin and tonic flavour lollies, anyone?!) to suit your day. Perhaps add them to a dessert table, or use them as place cards for your wedding reception? For wedding favour inspiration, head over to our fun Sprinkle Lollies page or Edible Glitter Lollies page!

Think about the time of year you want to get married, and what's in flower in the garden. Spring is amazing for blossom and spring flowers, whereas most gardens reach their peak in summer. Autumnal colour is amazing but autumn days can be chilly, so it might be something to consider! If you are planning a garden wedding a year or so in advance, you could consider growing specific flowers, perhaps for your bouquet or as decorations.
Be mindful of the weather and have a plan B! If you have space for a marquee or tipi, this could be the perfect option. You can leave the sides open if the day is warm, but it will provide shelter if the weather turns. Think about providing parasols or umbrellas for your guests, and blankets if the temperature drops.
Define the space. Consider creating various outdoor rooms - perhaps a bar area, somewhere for your guests to sit and chat, somewhere to dance, a food station, somewhere for the kids to play - the list goes on. By defining the space you can create all these different zones.

When it comes to styling a garden wedding, a beautiful garden often does most of the hard work for you! You can add in extra touches, such as a ceremony backdrop, or flower wall, or garden archway. A romantic rose covered arch makes for a beautiful ceremony backdrop. If you have a wooded area, you could use this as a backdrop and decorate the trees with bunting or lights (or mirror balls!).
A beautiful garden is a haven for wildlife, but along with the pretty butterflies and ladybirds come things like wasps, ants and mosquitos. Be sure to take precautions against things that could spoil the party - burn citronella candles and provide bug spray to keep the bugs at bay.
If you are planning to have your wedding reception in your own garden, consider your neighbours. Maybe have a word with them beforehand and let them know your plans. You don't want to end up in a row with the neighbours over noise on your wedding day!

The idea behind the shoot came from the amazing Lam Peretti. Her fine art wedding photography style fit the location perfectly, and her images are beyond beautiful. Styling and florals came from MaeDae Weddings and Events, who used an array of dried and fresh flowers to create the most stunning pale blush bouquet. There were roses, honesty, grasses, palm leaves - all looking amazing together!
The venue was a bit of an unusual one in that it's the The Old Boathouse at Newmillerdam Country Park, just out of the city of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Usually a cafe serving delicious sweet treats, this was also the beautiful backdrop for our lakeside shoot. It's a building full of character and details, making it a perfect location for wedding photos.
The blush pink stationery suite was provided by Love Paper Co and fit the brief perfectly. They also make for a beautiful backdrop for flat lay photos featuring Emily's Lollies' wedding favours! The stunning four tiered wedding cake was created by Storeybook Cakes and was a true work of art with incredibly lifelike sugar flowers and a ruffled base tier.
The bride wore a stunning gown from Quinlan Counture Bridal with accessories from Aureus Flos and Bish Bosh Becca. Her hair and make up were by The Bridal Luxe, who created a natural bridal look for our model Maddie.
Rhymes to Remember created a unique poem for the day called Love in Bloom, summing up the occasion perfectly!
The wedding breakfast table was styled by MaeDae Weddings and featured stunning embroidered napkins. These were a real touch of luxury alongside luxury wedding favours in the form of my lollipops. These feature edible flower petals! I love how the venue was styled - taking the runner and decor over the edges of the tables added a luxurious touch.

Small weddings can still be beautiful! The restrictions on guest numbers means you get to invite only those people who really matter. There's no more inviting your aunt's next door-but-one neighbour, or that person you went to school with because you're friends on Facebook! You get to invite those people who mean the most to you. You'll actually get chance to speak to them too! If you are postponing your larger celebration, you could send out some change of date cards. Speak to your stationer and see if this is an option.

Small weddings don't mean you have to miss out on the traditions. You can still have a wedding cake, you can still have your first dance and of course the speeches...! Single tier wedding cakes have become really popular over the last year, with some couples opting for a miniature version of a larger wedding cake design.

Going small in numbers means you can go big elsewhere. You can have amazing wedding flowers with large installations for extra impact. You could have a more luxurious wedding breakfast, or splash out more on table decor as you won't need as many place settings. Check out our Pinterest board for more small wedding inspiration.

You have more flexibility as to where you can have your wedding reception if your numbers are smaller. You could even have your wedding reception at home (if your garden is big enough)! There are many beautiful back yard weddings appearing all over Instagram and Pinterest which are so inspirational. Imagine being snuggled up round a camp fire toasting marshmallows, or on a beach eating fish and chips, watching the sun go down!

The Giraffe Shed is a stunning alternative barn wedding venue in Tregynon, Central Wales. With exposed brick walls, huge feature windows and huge high ceilings, it's an amazing space that you can truly make your own. R&R Weddings and Events did an amazing job styling the venue. The wall hangings from The Handmade Sign Company add extra drama and look incredible against the exposed brick walls.
The bride's dress was from Susanna Greening Designs and showed off her beautiful tattoos. Bridal jewellery was from Cast & Found and is the perfect style to become a keepsake. The groomswear came from Slater Menswear. Hair and make up were by Elegance Hair Design and SJM Beauty.
The florals on this shoot were A-mazing! The florist Haze Floral created a stunning floral installation that crossed the entire picture window which acted as a ceremony backdrop. Haze also created stunning table swags, a floral crown for the bride AND a little floral spray for the dog Gizmo to wear. Should we be seeing more dogs at weddings? Yes please!
The bespoke signage is from R&R Weddings and Events and added a touch of character to the day.
The tablescape featured black crockery as well as the stunning florals from Haze Floral. The little little skulls add a quirky edge while the table runner adds in colour and softness.
The moody dark invitations were by R&R Weddings and Events and the cake, with its hand painted detail and edible gold leaf, was by Rock n Roll Baker.
Wedding favours were by Emily's Lollies, of course! They were luxury handmade lollies with edible petals and glitter, because it's always nice to have a little sparkle. The edible petals matched the flowers used in the reception decor perfectly. You could personalise these wedding favours with name tags or wording on the actual lollipop, meaning you could use them instead of place names on your wedding table.
Handmade luxury lollipops make a great alternative wedding favour idea, and are something that won't get wasted (like the traditional sugared almonds!). Click to see our range of luxury lollipops with edible petals, perfect for your wedding day.

There are many reasons why you might consider not serving alcohol at your wedding, religious, cultural, moral or you might just not enjoy being in the company of those who are under the influence.
Whatever the reason, it is most definitely ok to choose not to serve alcohol at your wedding, your family and friends may initially grumble at the thought of having to get through a wedding without a drink but at the end of the day they just want to share with you your special day.
What to serve at a wedding instead of alcohol?
There are many alternatives to serving alcohol at your wedding and by cutting out the alcoholic choices you are opening up an amazing array of none alcoholic options. There are thousands of amazing Mocktails to serve during your drinks reception or cocktail hour, chat to your bar about your likes and dislikes, not forgetting the season and they will be sure to create something amazing.
You may be worried about the speeches and toasts but i highly recommend serving elderflower fizz or something similar.
Any good bar will be able to come up with a wide range of interesting alcohol free alternatives that you and your guests will enjoy!
How to make an alcohol free wedding fun?
You do not need alcohol in order to have a fun and memorable wedding day although you need to put a little more thought into entertainment if you aren't relying on alcohol giving people the confidence to dance and generally make a foul of themselves.
I'd highly recommend making sure your band or DJ is engaging and skilled at motivating people to dance and is good at reading the room. Another great entertainment option that is soaring in popularity is singing waiters.
You might also want to consider hiring games or a casino to give extra entertainment.
Also look at ways you can serve food that means your guests are interacting with each other like grazing tables, sweet carts (don't forget to add in some lollies!), pizza oven or an ice cream van.
If you need more tips on planning your wedding check out my tips here.
The majority of my lollies are alcohol free so please contact me to discuss.
